The Yoga Loft Team welcomes you! We are so happy you have chosen The Yoga Loft for your yoga practice. Whether you are new to yoga, coming back to or have practiced for years, we have a class for you. 

 

If this is your first time practicing with us, we have a great intro offer available. Purchase our New Client Special, 3 weeks for $69. This introductory offer gives you access to both studios, an opportunity to try a variety of classes, and meet our team and community members! Enjoy 21 consecutive days of unlimited yoga classes, yes, you can even double up and take two classes in a day!

New students should live within driving distance of studios for this offer. We want you to continue to be a part of our community long after the 21 days!

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Mission

WHY YOGA?

We are biased on this question, but we believe yoga is for everyone. Studies show that practicing yoga regularly improves our strength, flexibility, balance, and sleep quality, while reducing stress and blood pressure. These are just a few of the benefits! 

 

I AM BRAND NEW TO YOGA. WHERE DO I START?

Our Beginner Series, Slow | Beginner Flow, Gentle & Restorative, Rise & Shine Slow Flow, Restorative or Yin Yoga classes are all options, however, you can join at any time!  Our instructors are experienced to guide students of all levels. Just connect with them before class and share it is your first class with us. They are always willing to answer any questions you have before or after class. We recommend setting your mat up in the middle of the room so you can look around at other students in class and follow the lead. Once you learn the names of poses, your practice will feel more natural.

WHAT STYLES OF CLASSES DO YOU OFFER? 

We are proud to offer a variety of classes to our community. Our focus incorporates elements of alignment, mobility, and vinyasa, all with an emphasis on breathing mindfully. You will learn more on the flow of breath through practice. Your first focus will be on finding comfort in moving your body in a new way and connecting with the names of the poses. I AM NOT FLEXIBLE. CAN I STILL DO YOGA?

Absolutely! A couple of classes to consider are Yin Yoga, Slow | Beginner Flow or Yin Yoga. Our experienced team of instructors can help you find settle into a pose until it feels right for your body. Listen to verbal queues and ask questions, if you have them! With consistent practice, your flexibility will improve quicker than you may think.

DO YOU OFFER HOT AND HEATED CLASSES?

We do! Classes that are at 90 degrees will be on the schedule as "hot." Our heated classes will say "heated" like this (heated). They are 85 degrees. Our hot and heated classes are at our Suamico studio. All other classes range from 72-78 degrees and feel cozy and comfortable. Come with water to stay hydrated! With all of our classes, be kind to your body and takes breaks when needed.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE BEFORE I SEE BENEFITS? 

To see results in terms of improved flexibility, strength, and mental well-being, we suggest practicing 2-3 times a week to start. However, even an hour every week is beneficial. Just like when we add or shift anything in our life, consistency is key, and practicing yoga daily can help maintain the benefits of yoga. Practicing regularly for 3-5 times a week after 4-6 weeks is where we hear practitioners say they feel their best. Don't overwhelm  yourself, 1-hour or 5-hours, you will still feel the benefits!

 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear clothing that allows you to move freely. Athletic wear or loose-fitting sweats and t-shirts are best. Most women wear athletic pants and tops. Men generally wear athletic shorts (gym shorts or spandex) and t-shirts. Many students bring layers, since your body’s temperature will rise during the active portions of class and fall during final relaxation.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING INTO THE STUDIO?

Your yoga mat, water (you never know if you when you will need a drink) and small hand towel (if you prefer for extra cushion or sweat). Don't have a mat? You can rent one for $2.

All other personal items (including phones) stay in our lobby area. Doors are locked during class for everyone's safety.  

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR CLASS?

Doors will open 15 minutes before class. Plan to arrive and be ready a minimum of 5 minutes before class starts.

IS THERE ANY ETIQUETTE I NEED TO KNOW?

Shoes should be removed and aren't allowed in the practice space. Silence your phone and leave it with your belongings in one of our cubbies. We are here to "unplug." If you arrive early to class, you are welcome to relax and chat in our lobby or set up your mat in the studio space and relax. Many students enjoy unwinding or taking time to meditate in the minutes before class, so we ask that the practice space remains peaceful. If you arrive late for class, latecomers will not be allowed.

MEMBERSHIPS + MORE

WHAT IS A MEMBERSHIP?

We offer a variety of memberships to meet the needs of every student- from practicing one time each week to seven days a week! Our memberships are our most affordable Pricing options. We offer three flexible tiers. Memberships are auto-debited memberships. The New Client Special does not auto renew.

WHEN WILL MY MEMBERSHIP AUTO RENEW?

Memberships automatically renew monthly on the date purchased. 

SHOULD I REGISTER ONLINE?

Yes! This ensures we know you are coming, and you have a spot in class. You can register online through our website or app up to 45 minutes before class starts. Registration closes after that. If you register, we count on you being there. Please note that failure to arrive for a reserved class or canceling a reservation less than two hours before the start of class will result in a $10 fee. This policy is enforced and applies to late arrivals. 

 

DO CLASS PACKAGES EXPIRE?

Class packages expire three or four months from date of purchase, depending on the package.

WHAT IF I'M UNABLE TO USE ALL OF MY CLASSES OR UTILIZE THE MEMBERSHIP LIKE I THOUGHT?

We do not offer any refunds on class packages, memberships, events or workshops. In addition, class packages and memberships cannot be shared or transferred. Remember, this is something that you wanted for you. 

DO YOU OFFER FIRST CLASS FREE?

We believe that taking just one class doesn't allow for a full experience and get to know our vibe. That is why we love our

New Client Special so much!  

WHERE CAN I FIND FULL REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION GUIDELINES?

You can find guidelines posted when you register, on registration confirmation emails and on our Schedule page. 

HOW WILL I BE NOTIFIED IF CLASS IS CANCELLED?

Subscribe to our emails! Class may cancel due to inclement weather or due to low registrations. We require a minimum of two-three students pre-registered for class for class to be held. This is a safety measure for all. A cancellation email will go to registered participants notifying or the cancellation.
