Being with you always makes me look forward to tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you!

We all turn to yoga for various reasons, mind, or body to start and then find it’s a combination of both that holds us here. My yoga journey was the same. I started practicing over 15 years ago because the physical benefits. Then a few years later life happened and I found myself guardian to my own mom while juggling being a mom, a wife and career. I came to cherish that hour for myself, especially Savasana! This 60 minutes would often bring me the clarity, energy and the balance I needed. My approach and hope is for each yogi to leave feeling that same balance. I’m thrilled to be a part of your practice and your personal journey!

Yoga pants- Pretty much a staple in every wardrobe… However mine were not being used for yoga, or anything active for that matter. Comfort, Netflix, & Oreos yes; but the “active” ship had sailed. After being an athlete my entire life & sustaining a pretty serious injury before I was due to play in college; unhealthy choices, my first of many anxiety attacks, & a splash of depression were now what was consuming my life. Who was I if I couldn’t do what I loved? After many years of lost identity I had had enough. Once those favorite yoga pants no longer fit & I couldn’t recognize myself in the mirror anymore, it was time for a change. Healthy choices & power yoga quickly became my new love affair. After rapidly dropping 90lbs, falling back in love with movement, & discovering inner peace & mental clarity; I had the realization that THIS was what I needed to do with my life. I recklessly quit my day job & signed up for yoga teacher training. I took a big risk that has since paid off. Very recently I’ve also welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this bright world. Now I have even more to live for & this healthier lifestyle has never been more important. Don’t get me wrong… I still love Netflix, lounging, & Oreos… But it’s all about balance! If you’re looking for a non-traditional laid back style, creative sequencing filled with movement, horrible jokes, & great music; I’m your girl. Be ready to work- I’ll gladly kick your booty while loving you at the same time! Forever learning. Forever growing. Forever evolving. Live is ever changing- Never stay still! The light in me, will always honor the light in you- Namasté!

Amy Zellner

My journey with yoga began in my undergraduate years as a fellow student and friend wanted someone to practice with before becoming a yoga teacher. Group sports and working out had never been my thing, but I felt better exercising and this one-on-one environment was rewarding and safe. I found yoga to be intuitive, practical, and low-impact, with minimal equipment required. I started to practice at home and with friends using copies of Iyengar’s Light on Yoga for guidance, each picking out poses and trying to flow in and out of them. I began to see improvements in range of motion, awareness: both spatial and mental, strength, mood, confidence and self-control. While I was initially apprehensive about going to a class with my limited experience, I did start attending studios a few years after that. I liked that although yoga is done in a group, the focus is on the individual. Letting guided yoga practice be a space that I set aside for my own personal growth during a period of drastic changes, with the assistance of a beautiful and vibrant yoga community; I was able to find the calm amidst the storm. For me yoga by nature has an essence of self-improvement and brings a lightness of being. Looking forward to being someone who helps you lift yourself up!

Betsy Chase

My name is Betsy Hopkins, and I am a passionate, nature-loving 200 HR Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). I first tried yoga over two years ago in an attempt to bring some light back into my life as I wrestled with my mental health. Yoga saw me through my darkest days by teaching me how to connect with my breath, my body, my soul and with others. One of my favorite ways to connect with others is by guiding them back to the present moment with moving meditation. That is why I teach yoga- to share the sense of peace and empowerment I continue to find in my practice each day.

In my class, you will learn to quiet your mind and listen to your body. You will safely bring your body to its edge, and you will leave feeling grounded, strong, and probably sweaty! Come connect!

Crystal Thiem

Crystal has been drawn to movement her whole life. She started as a gymnast at a very young age and made the transition into other independent outdoor sports such as; snowboarding, mountain biking and whitewater kayaking. Her mother first introduced her to yoga via a gorgeous video by Ali MacGraw and Erich Schiffmann, called Yoga Mind & Body. It’s visually and aurally stunning with clean white sand and a cool predawn sky, with a soundtrack including Dead Can Dance.  This early exposure had her hooked. She continued yoga during her early college years at the University of Montana as a fun way to sweat and relieve stress. Her casual hobby blossomed into a way of life after becoming a busy mom and needing that time for self-care and a stress-relieving outlet.

Crystal is a Registered Nurse and is passionate about helping people learn how to live a healthy lifestyle. She draws on her nursing knowledge of the body to assist students in correct alignment during postures.  Her passion lies in teaching others how to achieve vibrant mind and body health through meditation and yoga.

Crystal received her 200-hour yoga teacher training through the School of Yoga Institute at a remote off grid jungle location in Punta Mona, Costa Rica.  She is thrilled to be able to share her passion with you! Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.

Invest in yourself today.

"Yoga has been a part of my life for over 15 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, find a space where I could focus on me and build confidence, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live more mindfully and to be present in each moment."
